M&M’S Time Machine
This campaign encouraged fans to follow the M&M’S as they travelled through time.
Fans could win an exclusive M&M’S watch by finding the distinctive chrome M&M’S lentils that were hidden inside specially marked packs. We designed the M&M’S watch in Australia and then oversaw the manufacturing of it in China.
The fans contributed online by suggesting where the M&M’S could travel to next and this in turn lead to more traffic to the M&M’S Facebook page and Instagram. The M&M’S would then report back through social posts about where they were currently in time.
The campaign was a great history lesson for the M&M’S fans and sales grew by 36% during the promo.
